Sometimes we hear stories of people who have ‘climbed the ladder of success’ and find ourselves wondering how they did that – how they knew what the ladder was and how hard the climb had been. If you want to increase your book’s sales in order to have a greater impact on a reading populace along with realizing more income from those sales, there are several things you might want to consider doing. As previously stated, building a strong email list is the first rung/step of that ladder. In order to build that list, consider a give-away. Most likely you don’t feel like you can afford to just give the book away so reflect on the idea of writing a short story and offering it as a give-away to create interest and, at the same time, increase your email list. Perhaps you could do a social media announcement that you are giving away a special story to the first 1,000 people who sign up for your email list. You are giving something of value – the short story – for people signing up for your monthly newsletter.
